Why Didn't I Think of This?

We are making lamps in my Art and Science of Production ID class out of reused materials. Anything you are able to find in mass quanities in landfills, recycling centers, etc. Greenlight Concepts has made old traffic signals turn into beautiful modern lamps. I'm jealous of the genius idea! Any help readers?

The Dry Side: Yanko Design

Cadillac Provoq

GM announced their new concept vehicle and it's not only stunning but also wonderfully GREEN! The Provoq is a hydrogen-powered vehicle that only emits water. It's composed of a lithium-ion battery, a fuel cell system and a pair of 10,000-psi hydrogen tanks that produces enough power to drive you 300 miles on a single tank. Also, the interior is power boosted by a solar panel on the top of the car. To read the full article, click here.

Art in the Kitchen

"The beautiful is everywhere; perhaps more in the arrangment of your saucepans on the white walls of your kitchen than in your eighteenth century living room or in the official museums."
-- Fernand Leger

This photograph came from Desire to Inspire. I thought it was perfect for one of my favorite (and so true) quotes.
